Homeschooling families are emerging as a strong early audience for entrepreneurship education in Dubai, with homeschoolers accounting for 25% of the first intake at MINIBOSS Business School Dubai, which officially began its programme on September 12 at Dubai Knowledge Park.

The inaugural cohort brings together children aged 6–14 from diverse nationalities, marking the beginning of MINIBOSS Dubai’s structured entrepreneurship and leadership programme for young people.

MINIBOSS BUSINESS SCHOOL Dubai is the locally led branch of the UK-founded MINIBOSS international education network, which provides business and entrepreneurship education for children and teenagers aged 6–18. Rather than operating as a one-off holiday camp or weekend workshop, MINIBOSS follows a structured, multi-year pathway designed to develop entrepreneurial thinking, leadership skills and practical business knowledge over time.

The programme consists of eight sequential courses, with each course designed to be completed over an academic year and supported by 12 types of practical activities annually. Students learn through experiences including startup creation, teamwork, pitching, masterclasses, business tours, startup forums and competitions.

The strong response from homeschooling families is particularly notable as the first cohort begins. For families following alternative education pathways, MINIBOSS provides a structured environment where children can develop practical skills, collaborate with peers and apply what they learn through real projects.

The programme’s multilingual faculty is delivering classes in English, French and Arabic, reflecting the international make-up of Dubai and the diversity of the first student cohort.

Led by entrepreneur and education leader Siddique Hills, MINIBOSS Dubai was established around the belief that entrepreneurial skills can be developed from an early age. Students are encouraged to identify problems, explore opportunities, work in teams, develop ideas and gain confidence in presenting and implementing their projects.

As students progress through the full MINIBOSS pathway, they move from foundational business concepts to developing and pitching startup ideas, with opportunities to participate in international startup forums and competitions. Students who complete the full pathway may qualify for the MINIBOSS International Diploma, subject to the network’s academic and practical requirements.

With its first cohort now underway, MINIBOSS Business School Dubai is continuing to welcome families interested in developing entrepreneurship, leadership, problem-solving and practical business skills in children and teenagers. Admissions remain open, with MINIBOSS Dubai preparing to run parallel cohorts in response to the encouraging interest received since the first intake.
