MoHRE Sets Benchmark for Digital Innovation at GITEX Global 2025

Showcasing a range of smart services powered by AI

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) is taking part in GITEX Global 2025, exhibiting a range of innovative and advanced digital services powered by artificial intelligence.

The showcased solutions demonstrate the Ministry’s pioneering experience with leveraging smart technologies to develop services, enhance the work environment, improve operational efficiency, and facilitate customer experience, in line with UAE Government’s digital agenda and the Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme.

Highlighted projects include the Work Bundle, which provides proactive and simplified services through a unified platform, with a single request and one-time payment channel. The Bundle eliminates the need for in-person visits and reduces the number of attachments required and fields to fill in in order complete transactions. It includes three main packages: Establishments Bundle, Citizen Bundle, and Domestic Workers Bundle.

MoHRE is also showcasing the ‘Ask Data’ project, an AI-powered system that offers Ministry employees a seamless and interactive process to explore the Application Programming Interfaces (API) Catalogue. Employees can inquire about available data across more than 100 integration interfaces and thousands of exchanged attributes. They can also explore integration requirements and other technical information, receiving immediate and accurate responses, which supports service development, analysis, and studies.

Visitors to the Ministry’s pavilion can also explore ‘Eye’, a smart system that automatically processes work permit applications, with human intervention only needed in exceptional cases. AI is used to verify documents, such as Emirates IDs, passports, employment contracts, or any documents required for issuing a work permit. Approval is granted based on an automated analysis that uses Regula OCR and Azure AI Vision technologies.

The project serves to expedite administrative procedures, reduce errors, and ensure compliance with laws and regulations. It leads to tangible results in speeding up transaction processing, obtaining high-quality documents, cutting operating costs, verifying document accuracy and validity, and minimising human errors.

Moreover, the Ministry is showcasing an AI-based project named ‘Forecasting Future Jobs and Skills’, which aims to enhance the UAE’s capabilities in labour market planning by enabling MoHRE to predict future workforce needs based on economic trends, employer demand, and evolving skill requirements.

The project includes numerous features that enhance competitiveness and efficiency standards in the labour market, through its ability to analyse integrated multi-source data, including active vacancies, direct job advertisements, and user inputs. Additionally, it serves as a unified platform with dashboards for monitoring and scenario planning, and includes a dynamic classification feature that links jobs with skills. It is continuously updated and contains AI-powered insights to support educational and career decisions.

Among its other innovative AI initiatives, the Ministry is also introducing the Smart Safety Tracker Project, which aims to facilitate the process for monitoring and implementing health and safety standards in workplaces. The project relies on Generative AI (GenAI) and advanced computer vision technologies to automatically detect safety violations from images captured during field inspections conducted by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation.

The Ministry’s pavilion at GITEX, which forms part of the larger Federal Government platform, is also exhibiting the MOHRE smart application, which provides seamless access to all services for establishments, employees, and domestic workers, enhanced with AI, Big Data applications, and smart dashboards.

The app has undergone successive developments and modifications to become an integrated services platform, enabling customers to conduct transactions easily and securely. It proactively keeps them informed about the status of their establishments and employees, thereby ensuring they avoid fines or violations, while also empowering workers by allowing them to understand their rights and obligations and communicate directly with the Ministry.

Furthermore, the application boasts a range of advanced features designed to meet the highest innovation standards in terms of technology and user experience, offering simplified navigation and design, as well as integrated services to ensure a consistent and positive experience.
