The Future Wage Divide -Big Ideas 2025 and Beyond.

Examining automation’s role in reshaping the job market, and the future of income distribution.

"Formal education will make you a living; self-education will make you a fortune."

Jim Rohn, a personal development guru.

Have you heard of the movie Limitless, where a single pill enhances your overall intelligence (including fluid intelligence)?

While that remains fiction, the reality of AI has introduced a similar YET profound external transformation – empowering us to amplify productivity, creativity, and innovation - from with-in to with-out!

Leveraging the CDE Innovation Prism, I was inspired to focus on the what’s different - the "D".

Here are 4 emerging roles I foresee based on my experience and ongoing upskilling in marketing, AI, and digital strategy:

1) PROMPT ENGINEERS

Experts in crafting precise inputs for generative AI to deliver specific outcomes in areas like content creation, design, and coding. I’ve delved into this space through courses and real-world applications in marketing strategies.

2️) AI CONTENT CURATORS

Professionals who train AI to develop narratives, campaigns, or artistic works while maintaining cultural and contextual accuracy.

My journey on platforms like Medium and Seedly has been enriched by weaving AI into my storytelling (see⬇️for more!)

3️) AI LITERACY EDUCATORS As AI becomes widespread, there’s a growing need for educators who can bridge the gap for non-technical professionals, teaching them to interact responsibly with these tools.

4️) AI TRAINERS Specialists in teaching AI systems to understand complex human behaviour and feedback.

For instance, Singapore’s Scamwise2024 trainers are already exploring AI-assisted assessments to educate both the young and old—a space I’m passionate about contributing to in 2025.

Trend: The Future Wage Divide

I believe we’re heading towards 2 divides in future wages:

AI-Adopting Companies: Scaling faster with enhanced efficiency, differentiation, and productivity.

Non-Adopting Companies: Staying stagnant, unable to compete with their innovative counterparts.

This gap will result in a significant chasm in pay—one that rewards those equipped with AI knowledge while releasing others the opportunity of their potential rewards.

“LEARNING, UNLEARNING, AND RELEARNING IS THE NEW CURRENCY OF THE WORLD. HE/SHE WHO FAILS TO EMBRACE THIS IS DOOMED TO ONLY SURVIVE IN A VUCA WORLD.”

How are you preparing to thrive in this AI-driven future?
