Gold is the Colour of 2025 bringing Timeless Wisdom

Mark Wentworth shares thoughts on Perfect Timing.

Can you believe we are in to the third week of February already? The New Year seems a distant memory now, and yet it was just seven weeks ago.

I mention time because more and more we seem to live by the clock. Yes, it is good to have deadlines and a date to achieve something by, but... I've come to realise through experience that there is a deeper time, a right time for events to happen, things to fall into place, people to meet, and so on.

We talk about how a series of events needed to be in order for X or Y to happen, and with hindsight we often realise it couldn't have happened in any other way.

This year the colour Gold , helps us tap into and connect with an innate wise time keeping. This deep time is uniquely ours to follow.

The next time you feel your inner-perfectionist or inner-critic drawing your attention to how fast or how efficient someone else has completed something, or how successful they seemingly are, stop. Pause. Take a moment and go within and see if you can get a sense of your own time. Tap into Gold.

People sometimes describe the feeling of their own time as a quiet space with a sense of a gentle flowing river. The river having a definite sense of purpose and flow. When I imagine other people's time interacting with the river it either complements and becomes like two or more rivers flowing in harmony, or it is much like boulders and rocks crashing into the river.

When it is the latter I understand that their time is not my deeper time. I have learnt through many experiences to trust more and more this time. Whether this means not going forward with a project or asking for time to re-think and re-organise. There's a wisdom happening beyond my conscious awareness that seems to understand that it would not be in the highest good for all concerned to act or follow through right now.

Equally this same wisdom knows when to push full steam ahead, even if I am digging my heels in because what if X, Y and Z might happen. This wisdom part and the critically controlled perfectionist part are not always the best of friends. The art is discerning which is which.

The next time you catch yourself clock-watching, feeling pressured by time or find yourself comparing what others have achieved to what you have done. Pause and ask yourself "Whose time am I living by?"

On Saturday 1st March I invite you to join me to explore “Timed to Perfection”

It is a three-hour on-line workshop using Colour PsychoDynamics, Expressive Arts and Story, giving space and an expressive voice to our perfectly timed perfectionist. In the listening we learn how we can compassionately shift from controlled "outer right timing" to a more "Imperfectly Perfect Timing". When we switch to a more soulful rhythm just like changing country time-zones we wake up in a different way with a fresh view.

 Saturday 1st March, 3:00pm - 6:00pm (London time)

Investment: £45/55€ - Pay by bank transfer in either UK Pounds or Euros. To register click here then scroll down to the registration information.
